1926 The Real Beginning

1926 saw the formation of a limited company , Three Spires Bowling and Sports Cub Limited. In that same year the company bought a parcel of land from The Morningside Building Estate for the sum of £500 . It formed part of what was then called “The Nursery” situated between Kenilworth Road and Dalton Road .

Those years of 1926 and 1927 in THE REAL BEGINNING were a hive of physical and administrative activity on the part of the club members, and in the early part of 1927  the club received approval from the City of Coventry to erect a club house on the land in Morningside and to lay the first of two greens .

The club house cost the sum of £828 15s 1d and a further sum of £978 15s 11d was expended in the laying of the green, the ceremonial opening of which took place on the 7th May 1927 with a representative game against the English Bowling Association .
