About us

We have both men’s and ladies sections, with over 120 playing members and boasting strong club fixture lists that run from  late April to early October each year. We have a history of success in district, county, and national knock-out and league competitions. There are also mens, ladies, and mixed internal competitions for those who wish to test themselves against other members. Each September we hold a Gala day when men's teams from across the area are invited to compete against each other, and most years we play host to touring teams and inter-county matches.

The club is run entirely by volunteer members, who willingly give their own time to ensure that its prime asset – the bowling green  – is kept in the best  possible condition. Work is also done to maintain the clubhouse and pavilion, together with making sure that flower beds, hedges, benches, etc, are kept to a high standard. This work is done throughout the year, come rain or shine, to ensure that our club is always a welcoming place to visit.

Outside of the outdoor bowling season the club runs a number of events, including indoor bowls fixtures, quiz nights, and coffee mornings. These events keep members in touch with the club, providing entertainment and competition.
